What an open and honest account of your str...Sarah,
What an open and honest account of your struggle with sin and your modeling of God's grace and forgiveness to your daughters. Mothering is incredibly hard. It is exhausting, 24/7, humbling and sanctifying. There are huge rewards and blessings too. I have so been there (and still often am )with impatience, perfectionism and selfishness but seeing your sin and asking forgiveness is huge. If we were perfect parents would our children need a heavenly father? We had a guest speaker (psychologist) this weekend in Sunday School talk on parenting. He ended by saying that our generation struggles immensely with the fear that we're goin to mess up our kids. He shared research that showed that kids who had "perfect" parents turned out rather wierd whereas the kids with normal parents who did things right sometimes and messed up other times actually were more successful and better adjusted. Your girls will rise up and call you blessed. You are doing a fantastic job! What a high calling.hisdaughter4everhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12804243287321763433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29274780.post-81579332770532908702012-02-13T14:58:29.086-05:002012-02-13T14:58:29.086-05:00Sarah, I want to encourage you. You were modeling ...Sarah, I want to encourage you. You were modeling sin, yes, in that moment. But, oh, you were modeling so much more. You are teaching your girls about humility, quick repentance, how to say "Please forgive me for _", and the relief of forgiveness we find ultimately with the Father. These are precious, precious gifts that your girls will carry with them for a lifetime. How rare it is to ever hear someone truly ask for forgiveness! And you are teaching this to your little ones. And grace, oh grace, covers a multitude of sins! God is using these very things to work grace not only in your life, but in the lives of your 3 little ones. And this is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful in His sight. Take a look at your post from last night, re-read it and pretend you are not Sarah Shingler, you are another mother looking on the outside in. See how that mother Sarah Shingler, did something wonderful and amazing, but realizing her misjudgement with her little girl Ada yesterday and how she immediately scooped her up, apologized and loved on her, and prayed. Wow, her children are all under the age of 3 and she "gets" it.... that was a wonderful moment, and you did a wonderful thing...

I love you!Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00230018601928626082noreply@blogger.com
